European MEPs seek to stop the process of Albania's accession to the European Union.
Demand has officially arrived in the form of amendment, by members of the two groups in the European Parliament.
Speaker of the right French National Front, Marine Le Pen, along with three other MEPs of the party, introduce an amendment, under which, Albania could be reformed outside the European Union.
"Albania has been accorded the status of candidate country. However, the consolidation of democratic reforms and further reforms are likely completely out of the accession process ", - stated in the amendment.
Another amendment comes from the right grouping Italian Lega Nord. "Given the continued weakness of the judiciary, corruption in high, strong presence of organized crime, lack of protection of minorities, discrimination, mainly of women, lack of transparency in the financing of the media, considering the rise in unemployment and issues related to labor market conditions, and in turn, the European Commission does not offer any new membership in the European Union over the next five years, demand the suspension of Albania's membership negotiations with the European Union ", - stated in the amendment .
On Monday April 13, 2015 in Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament will be presented a record number of amendments to the draft resolution on the progress in the European integration of Albania in 2014.
Are full of 192 amendments were submitted to the draft resolution reporter Knut Fleckenstein, which will be discussed on Monday.

For the first time, the vast majority of the amendments has to do with Albania five main criteria for opening accession negotiations and specifically with the fight against organized crime, corruption, public administration, human rights and the judiciary.

The draft resolution will be discussed for an hour and thirty minutes Monday afternoon at the foreign affairs committee of the European Parliament and will be voted on Tuesday morning.
